The Dragonar 1 Custom helps launch the new HI-METAL R lineup from Bandai! Piloted by Kaine Wakaba in “Metal Armor Dragonar” (1987-88), this mean machine features an inner-frame structure with opening hatches! While remaining faithful to the original animation design, the Dragonar 1 Custom has been updated and streamlined to enhance detail. Its huge main wings are carefully reproduced, with loads of detail in the thrusters and exposed mechanical workings. The armor on the head, chest, shoulders, sleeves, waist, thighs and lower legs can unfold to expose the internal frame, and its cylinder-type cockpit can be opened and closed. A handrail gun and a super hybrid shield can be carried in its hands, and the shoulder bomb on the right shoulder can be removed; a four-unit dual missile pod is suspended on the main wing. The assault knife stored on the calf can also be removed and held, and a total of four spare magazines for the railgun are on the lower arm; they can be removed and stored inside the shield. The disk-shaped throw-in bomb can be removed from its right hip and held in the hand; the laser sword at the left hip can also be wielded.
